Relations between Intermittent fasting and MPN

Researching the effect of calorie restriction and chronic infections, I fell over this article in an issue of Blood form 21st of November 2019.

The main point of interest seen from my side is that “… limiting glucose supply by intermittent fasting ameliorates MPN features.” – so IF has a positive effect on MPN patients. There you go.

A possible link between MPN and Alzheimers

Danish researchers (Hans Hasselbalch et al) are discussing the increased risk/likelihood of AD (Alzheimers Disease) for MPN patients, perhaps due to inflammation. There is no evidence yet, but it is considered likely.

Worth investigating is if medication can help / reduce the risk of AD. Perhaps a combination treatment of Interferon (INF) / Hydrea (Hydroxyurea), combined with possibly JAKAVI (Ruxolitinib)
